When Can You Book a Massage or Facial After Breast Augmentation?
Face and lower-body treatments return early, but anything pressing the chest — including lying face-down on a table — usually waits about six weeks.
The question is less about massage itself than about where the pressure goes. A foot or scalp treatment leaves the chest untouched; a full-body massage means lying prone on the table and deep strokes near the pectoral area, both of which load healing tissue.
Position and pressure set the schedule
Facials, hand and foot care and lower-body work are often fine within a couple of weeks. Full-body sessions that require lying face-down, and any firm work around the chest or armpit, are commonly deferred to around six weeks — later for some, since settling speed varies with implant position and tissue condition.
So-called implant massage is a separate, medical question: whether to do it at all depends on implant type and the protocol your surgeon set, so do not let a spa improvise it. Tell the therapist about the surgery, and clear anything chest-adjacent at a consult first.
