What Should You Do the Night Before Augmentation?

The evening before surgery is for logistics, not nerves: start fasting on time, set out clothes and documents for the morning, and prepare the recovery corner at home.

By the night before, the medical decisions are made; what remains is execution. The fixed items: begin fasting at the hour the clinic set, take or skip medications exactly as instructed, shower as directed, remove nail polish and jewelry, and get the paperwork, ID, and payment arrangements into one bag.

Move daily items — cups, chargers, toiletries — from high shelves to counter height, prep simple meals, and arrange pillows for sleeping on your back slightly elevated. A phone charger within reach of the bed and pre-filled water bottles save awkward stretches in the first days.

Sleep quality and pre-surgery anxiety differ from person to person; a routine evening usually beats a special one. If a checklist item is unclear — a medication, the fasting clock, what to bring — call the clinic that evening or raise it at the final consult instead of guessing.
