What the recall visit covers
At each visit the dentist inspects the bonded margins for leakage or staining, checks bite contacts that may have shifted, and screens the gums for inflammation. Radiographs are taken periodically to look at the tooth under and around each restoration.
The right interval varies with grinding habits, gum condition, and cavity risk, so some wearers are recalled every three to four months instead. Ask your dentist to set a schedule based on your own mouth rather than a fixed rule.
