Does eye strain affect a double eyelid crease?

Fatigue and mild swelling can make a crease look temporarily shallower, but strain itself does not undo the fold.

After a long day at the screen, many people notice their double eyelid looks fainter in the mirror. The change is usually about fluid and fatigue, not the fold letting go.

Tired eyes borrow the look of a loose line

Prolonged near work reduces blinking, dries the surface, and leaves lids mildly swollen by evening — enough to blunt a shallow crease for hours. Overnight rest and hydration typically restore the morning-after line without any intervention.

How visibly fatigue shows on the lids differs by individual skin and fold depth. If a crease stays faded for weeks rather than evenings, that is a pattern worth a specialist consultation instead of another eye drop.
